Women Only Weekend (WOW) is an annual event that is part of the NC National Wild Turkey Federation’s (NWTF) Women in the Outdoors outreach program. This year’s event will be held in beautiful Swansboro, NC.  As the name implies, Women’s Only Weekend is designed to provide women the opportunity to learn about outdoor activities with other ladies from all over the state. At this year’s event, ladies will have the opportunity to kayak, stand up paddle board, experience or practice 3D archery, learn about and experience 3-Gun, outdoor cooking, and much more! WOW is an opportunity for ladies (16 and over) to learn hands on, overcome fears, and gain confidence in a relaxed, noncompetitive environment at an extremely low cost. Tell your friends, coworkers, sisters, aunts, daughters, and/or mother!
The cost is subsidized by the NC NWTF Super Fund.  Packages are offered for commuters not needing lodging and for those needing lodging.  Please see registration form or visit https://events.nwtf.org/3311013-2019/ for detailed information.
A scholarship is available, made possible by money generated at each NC NWTF chapter Hunting Heritage Banquet, for up to fifty seven (57) ladies.  The money generated will enable each NC chapter to send one (1) lady to WOW. Please email, nwtfnewriverlongbeards@yahoo.com, if you or your local chapter would like more information.
