Lew Heady is the chapter President of the Guernsey County Longbeards (Ohio) and has been with the chapter since it was charted in 1995. He got the inspiration of muzzleloaders and making custom muzzleloaders since he was a child watching Daniel Boone and Davy Crockett on TV. He has been making custom muzzleloaders since the late 1980s, and has attended numerous muzzleloader rendezvous, camps and conventions throughout Ohio and surrounding states. This beautiful handmade muzzleloader has a rice barrel, a Davis lock and trigger and Rich Curly Maple stock.
