rifle was handmade by Jesse Evans, a long-time contributor to the NWTF! Jesse has custom built
and donated rifles for years to support conservation and our hunting heritage. This is a one-of-one,
flintlock Kentucky long rifle in .50 caliber. The stock is made from gorgeous, meticulously cut, rare
Birdseye maple. It is adorned with all brass hardware. Included is a sliding wooden patch box. This
year’s rifle also has hand-engraved scroll work in the Birdseye Maple stock, something Jesse has
never done. In addition to this masterclass-crafted flintlock, the winner will receive a matching oneof-
one custom-built skinning knife with matching Birdseye Maple wooden handle. The blade was
made from the metal of a 100-year-old sawmill blade.
